Reverse description A plain long cross divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a segment of the circular legend MA - GI - S · LI - VO - (Magistri Livoniae, 'Master of Livonia') in simple uncial Latin lettering. A small hollow dot or annulet is visible at the centre of the cross. The quarters additionally display ornamental Gothic letter fragments consistent with the abbreviated title of the Grand Master Wolter von Plettenberg. The workmanship is typical of hammered billon schillings struck at the Reval (Tallinn) mint during the early sixteenth century.
