Reverse description Central field displays a straight-sided heraldic shield bearing a stylised tree, representing the arms of the Archbishopric of Riga, set within a beaded inner circle. The shield is rendered in the Gothic heraldic tradition common to early sixteenth-century Livonian ecclesiastical coinage. A circumscribed legend in Gothic uncial script encircles the design, reading the abbreviated title of the Archbishop of Riga. The overall composition is characteristic of jointly issued billon schillings struck under the dual authority of the Livonian Order and the Archbishopric of Riga.
