Beschrijving voorzijde Central field bears the Teutonic Order's heraldic shield — displaying an eagle — superimposed upon a large cross pattée that extends to the coin's inner border, dividing the field into four quadrants. The design is rendered in high relief characteristic of hammered medieval coinage. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with a surrounding circular legend in Gothic uncial characters reading MAGISTRI WINRICI, identifying the Grand Master Winrich von Kniprode. The overall composition reflects the austere, ecclesiastical-military aesthetic of Teutonic Order coinage of the fourteenth century.
Schrift voorzijde Latin (uncial)

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field features an elaborate quatrefoil or multi-lobed Gothic panel containing a floriated cross, with decorative trefoil and fleur-de-lis terminals extending into the lobes of the frame, creating a richly ornamented Gothic composition typical of mid-fourteenth-century Baltic coinage. Small pellets or rosettes fill the interstices between the lobes. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the surrounding circumferential legend in Gothic uncial script reading MONETA DNORUM PRUSSIE, translating as 'Money of the Lords of Prussia', affirming the issuing authority of the Teutonic Order in their Prussian territories.
