附加信息

Maximilian Friedrich von Königsegg-Rothenfels was elected Prince-Bishop of Münster in 1762 largely through the influence of Clemens August of Bavaria's former network — he simultaneously held the archbishopric of Cologne, making him one of the more politically connected ecclesiastical rulers in the Holy Roman Empire. Small billon schillings like this one were workhorses of everyday exchange in Westphalia, circulating alongside the fractional coinages of a dozen neighboring ecclesiastical and secular territories with often incompatible exchange rates.
