Jodokus von der Recke held the Bishopric of Dorpat for barely two years before the diocese was effectively dissolved into the chaos of the Livonian Confederation's internal conflicts. His coinage is correspondingly scarce — few issues, short window, limited survival. Dorpat itself would fall to Ivan the Terrible's forces in 1558, ending ecclesiastical coinage in the city permanently.
The billon content here reflects the broader debasement creeping through Livonian ecclesiastical mints in the 1540s.
