| Obverse description | Central shield of the Teutonic Order Grand Master displaying the composite arms: the principal field bears the Teutonic cross, with a secondary escutcheon in the upper portion bearing the Reuss of Plauen family arms. The shield is surmounted by a small decorative crown. The whole is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. |
