Obverse description Central shield with a flat top bearing the cross of the Livonian Order, the shield positioned over a large cross that divides the surrounding circular legend into four sections. The cross arms extend to the inner border, separating the abbreviated Latin inscription. The design is rendered in a late medieval hammered style typical of Baltic regional coinage of the mid-sixteenth century.
