Obverse description Crowned six-fold quartered coat of arms with central escutcheon bearing the arms of Plettenberg, arranged in a shield composition. The legend surrounding the arms contains the titles of Friedrich Christian, Prince-Bishop of Münster, in abbreviated Latin, with the denomination numeral 28 appearing in the lower portion of the legend, denoting the coin's value as 1/28 of a Thaler. The crowning above the arms is rendered in detailed relief typical of late 17th-century German ecclesiastical coinage.
