| Reverse description | Central device consisting of a large crescent or open C-shaped form enclosing a Gothic letter T, the whole serving as a mint or issuer monogram. The central device is flanked by pellets and set within a rope or beaded inner border. The surrounding legend, partially retrograde on this example, runs around the periphery and is punctuated by decorative star-shaped stops. The overall composition is characteristic of Moldavian schilling coinage of the 1660s. |
