Reverse description The full-length standing figure of St. Kilian, patron saint of Würzburg, is depicted facing forward in full pontifical vestments including a mitre, holding a palm frond in his right hand and a processional cross in his left. The date is divided by the saint's figure, with the numerals 17 appearing to the left and 47 to the right in the field. The encircling Latin legend SANCTUS KILIANUS identifies the patron saint, contained within a beaded border consistent with the obverse.
