Reverse description The denomination is displayed in two lines across the central field reading 'I SCHILLING', surmounted by a five-petalled rosette stop and flanked by symmetrical laurel sprigs tied at the base with a ribbon. Below the denomination the date of issue appears, with the mint master's initials immediately beneath, all contained within the wreath. On this 1768 example the mint master's initials read O•H•K, identifying the responsible official of the Hamburg mint.
