Reverse description The reverse displays a similar rendition of the Erfurt civic arms: a vertically divided shield featuring multiple vertical bars (barry) on one half and a wheel device on the other, enclosed within a concentric circular border. The design is executed in the simple, bold style typical of small-denomination hammered bracteate-influenced coinage of mid-sixteenth-century Thuringia. The flan is irregular with rough, unfinished edges consistent with hand-struck production. No legend or date appears on this side.
