| Reverse description | A five-clawed Imperial dragon is depicted in high relief at the centre of a beaded inner circle, rendered in three-quarter frontal view amid stylised cloud scrolls and waves, clutching a flaming pearl. The dragon's robust, somewhat rustic rendering is characteristic of coinage produced at the Kashgar Mint, distinguished from the more refined output of eastern Chinese mints. Encircling the beaded inner border is a wreath of leafy branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow, with a floral rosette at the apex. The milled rim frames the entire composition. The reverse field is otherwise plain, with no legends or inscriptions. |
