备注

The East Turkestan Republic proclaimed in Kashgar in November 1933 was a short-lived Islamic state that survived barely over a year before Chinese Nationalist forces suppressed it. This note was produced locally under extremely primitive conditions — no professional printing house, no engraving infrastructure, nothing resembling a central monetary authority in any functional sense. The handstamp constitutes the entirety of its security apparatus.

The tael denomination ties it to the pre-Republican weight-based silver standard still in use across Xinjiang's bazaar economy, largely disconnected from Nanjing's monetary reforms.
