Reverse description The large numeral 1 is prominently centered in the field. Arranged in a semicircle beneath the numeral is the denomination legend SANTĪMS in Latin script. Above the numeral, five concentric arcs span the upper field, terminating at either side in a stylized diamond-shaped solar motif, a traditional Latvian folk ornament symbol. The overall design is simple and bold, with the decorative solar elements providing folk artistic character to the reverse.
