| 正面描述 | The Moroccan royal coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a crowned shield bearing a green pentagram (Solomon's Star) on a red background, flanked by two rampant lion supporters. A scroll bearing the Arabic motto appears below the shield. The Arabic legend المملكة المغربية (Kingdom of Morocco) curves along the upper periphery. The design is framed by a fine beaded border. |

Issued under the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) coinage program, which recruited member nations throughout the 1960s–80s to strike low-denomination pieces carrying agricultural themes as public education tools. Morocco participated intermittently, and this aluminium santim — effectively worthless in purchasing power by 1987 — circulated more as policy symbol than functioning currency. The FAO program wound down significantly after this period as the UN body shifted toward other outreach mechanisms.
