The Chakra is rendered as a stylized multi-petalled rosette or wheel device, deeply and boldly struck into the smooth silver surface of the lower lobe, serving as the primary dynastic identifier of the reign of Rama I. |

The bullet coinage of early Rattanakosin — of which this piece is a part — continued a monetary tradition stretching back centuries in the Tai kingdoms, long predating Bangkok's founding in 1782. Rama I made no effort to reform the system; these lumpen silver pieces, hand-formed and countermarked rather than struck from dies in any conventional sense, circulated unchanged from earlier Ayutthayan practice.
KM#C3 places this among the earliest Bangkok-period issues, distinguishable from Ayutthayan predecessors primarily by the royal countermarks applied after forming.
