Obverse description Central field bears the national emblem of Muscat and Oman: a khanjar (curved dagger) in its sheath superimposed upon two crossed swords, all rendered in fine relief. The emblem is flanked on either side by a small national symbol. A circular Arabic legend runs along the inner border, reading the ruler's name and title, enclosed within a beaded or rope-patterned rim.
