Obverse description Oval silver flan with a plain, polished field. Three large Chinese characters arranged vertically in the center read 一 (one), 兩 (ryō), and 銀 (silver), rendered in bold relief. The characters are surrounded by a decorative border of twelve evenly spaced cherry blossom (sakura) rosettes in high relief, themselves enclosed by an inner ring of small raised beads following the oval periphery.

Reverse description Oval silver flan with a lightly textured field. Two columns of Chinese characters occupy the center, reading 銀座 (Ginza, meaning Silver Mint) on the right and 常是 (Tsuneyo, a quality or purity attestation) on the left. The inscription is framed by an identical decorative border of twelve cherry blossom rosettes in high relief, encircled by a continuous inner ring of raised beads following the oval contour.
