Obverse description Central device features a large, elaborately rendered fleur-de-lis — the heraldic emblem of Florence — depicted in high relief with finely engraved scrolling foliage, flanking petals, and a central seed-head motif. The composition fills the field with great decorative detail characteristic of Florentine coinage tradition. The circumferential Latin legend reads FERDINANDVS III· D·G·A·A·M·D·ETR·, distributed around the periphery, with the lettering separated by dot stops. The coin features a fine reeded border encircling the design. The overall style reflects the neoclassical engraving conventions of the early nineteenth-century Florence Mint.
