The German imperial eagle vignette appears at the upper left, beside the issuing authority name 'Deutsch-Ostafrikanische Bank' in bold letterpress text. The denomination 'Eine Rupie' is centered, with place of issue 'Daressalam/Tabora', date '1. November 1915', and a manuscript signature alongside the printed authorization 'gez.: A. Frühling' at the foot.
