Reverse description Arabic calligraphic inscription in large Naskh script arranged in multiple registers across the field, recording the regnal date in the Islamic Hijri calendar and the mint name Herat. The legends are distributed within a roughly cruciform arrangement, framed by a border of small pellets following the irregular outline of the flan. The bold, deeply struck lettering is characteristic of the hammered rupees produced at the Herat mint under Yar Muhammad Khan.
