正面描述 Hammered silver flan bearing bold Persian calligraphic legends in the Nastaliq script, filling the entire field. The inscription references the ruling nawab Muhammad Ibrahim Ali Khan and the suzerain authority of Queen Victoria, arranged in characteristic flowing multi-line format across the coin's face. The irregular flan edge is typical of hand-struck coinage from the Tonk mint. Decorative flourishes and pellet ornaments punctuate the text field. The overall style follows the Mughal-derived regal coinage tradition common to Rajputana princely states.

附加信息

Tonk was the only Princely State in Rajputana with a Muslim ruling dynasty, the Nawabs having been granted the territory by the Peshwa in the early nineteenth century following Amir Khan's service as a mercenary commander — a career that included supplying troops to multiple competing powers simultaneously. Muhammad Ibrahim Ali Khan ruled from 1867 to 1930, and this issue dates to the transitional period when the Crown's standardization pressures were beginning to erode the autonomy of Indian state mints. The dual-authority nature of the piece, acknowledging both Victoria and the Nawab, reflects the precise hierarchy the Crown enforced after 1858.
