正面描述 Left-facing crowned bust of Queen Victoria as Empress, wearing the Imperial State Crown adorned with crosses and jewels, her hair braided and dressed at the nape. The effigy features a pearl necklace and an elaborately foliate-embroidered bodice. The legend VICTORIA EMPRESS curves along the left and right periphery respectively, and the entire design is contained within a fine beaded border.

附加信息

Alwar's coinage under Mangal Singh occupies an unusual position in the princely states series: the state was required by the British to adopt the imperial rupee standard following the Currency Act of 1876, which stripped most princely mints of their independent monetary authority. Alwar complied in form but continued striking coins with local characteristics that distinguished them from the British provincial issues. KM#45 is tied to that narrow window of negotiated compliance, minted across a five-year span before standardization pressures tightened further under Curzon-era reforms.
