| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line legend in a combination of Devanagari and Arabic scripts, filling the coin's field in horizontal registers characteristic of Marwar coinage. The Vikram Samvat regnal date appears at the top of the field. The jhar (stylized tree or plant) and sword mint marks of the Nagaur mint are present in the field, identifying the place of issue. The legend names the ruling Maharaja, Sri Jaswant Singh Bahadur Dhiraj, together with the mint name Nagaur. The design is struck in the broad, flat indigenous style typical of Jodhpur feudatory issues of the Victorian era. |
