| Reverse description | The reverse presents a multi-line Persian legend in crudely hammered Naskh script, arranged in curved registers in the Mughal epigraphic tradition, referencing Maharajadhiraj Maharaja Pirthvi Singh Bahadur of Kishangarh and his regnal year (Julus Sanah 24). A stylised Jhar floral spray device, characteristic of Kishangarh coinage, appears within the field alongside the mint name Zarb Kishangarh. The engraving is bold but rough, consistent with hand-hammered provincial production, and the flan displays the typical irregular outline of struck rupees of this series. The combination of the ruler's full regal title and the floral emblem identifies this as the Narazana issue struck in the name of both the British Crown and the local maharaja. |
