| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Persian/Arabic inscription in bold nastaliq script occupying the entire field, arranged in two registers separated by a horizontal rule. The legend identifies the ruler Taimur Shah Durrani and includes the kalima or royal invocation typical of Durrani coinage. The irregular flan edge and characteristic die-struck relief reflect the hand-hammered production technique of the Attock mint. Surface shows natural silver toning with areas of blue-grey patina consistent with age. |
