Reverse description The reverse field is dominated by a bold Persian-script legend in flowing Nasta'liq calligraphy, disposed across the flan in multiple sweeping strokes that intersect and overlap in the characteristic Kabul mint style. Dot clusters are scattered throughout the field as ornamental fillers between the letterforms. The inscription records the mint name Kabul and the regnal year, framed by the natural irregular edge of the hand-struck flan. The overall layout is asymmetric, typical of Afghan hammered rupees of the early nineteenth century, with no formal border or inner circle.
