| Obverse description | Hammered billon flan of irregular round form bearing bold Arabic calligraphy in the nasta'liq style filling the entire field. The central legend reads 'Ya Shah Ghawth A'zam' (يا شاه غوث اعظم), an invocation to the great spiritual intercessor, rendered in large raised script. Floral and foliate ornamental devices occupy the lower field and margins, consistent with the Durrani artistic tradition. The legends are disposed across the flan without a formal border, typical of Afghan hammered coinage of this period. |

Subsidiary floral ornaments and decorative devices fill the surrounding field, in keeping with standard Durrani-era Afghan rupee typology. The die work is characteristic of the provincial hammered coinage issued at Qandahar under Sherdil Khan. |
