Obverse description Central field dominated by a bold, deeply struck Arabic calligraphic inscription arranged in a characteristic square or cruciform composition, typical of Afghan hammered rupees of the Barakzai dynasty. The legend reads a poetic couplet opening with 'Za Aini Marhamat...', invoking divine grace, rendered in flowing Naskh script. The field surrounding the central device is filled with decorative floral and foliate scrollwork. The coin exhibits the characteristically irregular flan and uneven strike associated with hand-struck Afghan silver coinage of this period.

Reverse description The reverse displays multiple horizontal registers of Arabic calligraphic inscription in Naskh script, divided by ruled lines across the flan. The legend records the ruler's name and titles, the mint name, and the regnal year in standard Afghan hammered rupee format. The upper and lower registers are adorned with dense foliate and floral scrollwork filling the field around the text. The strike is characteristically irregular, consistent with the hand-hammered production technique employed at Afghan mints during the reign of Sher Ali Khan.
