The four margins surrounding the central square contain the names and epithets of the Four Rightly Guided Caliphs — Abu Bakr (al-Siddiq), Umar (al-Adl), Uthman, and Ali — each in a dedicated border panel. All inscriptions are rendered in elegant Naskh-style Arabic script, a hallmark of Mughal calligraphic coinage. |
