| Descrizione del rovescio | Three horizontal registers of Persian calligraphy, separated by raised linear borders, occupy the full flan. The upper register records the mint epithet 'Zarb Dar al-Surur Burhanpur' (ضرب دارالسرور برہانپور), identifying the Burhanpur mint with its honorific title 'Abode of Joy.' The central register bears the regnal year notation 'Sana Ahad' (سنہ احد), indicating the first regnal year, and the lower register carries the accession formula 'Julus Manus Maimanat' (جلوس مانوس میمنت). The strike is characteristic of hammered Mughal rupees, with portions of the legend partially visible due to the irregular flan shape and off-center die placement. Scattered dark patination is present in recessed areas of the field. |
