Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic legend in bold Naskh calligraphy arranged across the field, divided by a horizontal linear band into two main registers, with the regnal legend occupying the central area. The inscription identifies the emperor Shah Jahan with his full imperial titles. Additional decorative pellets are scattered throughout the field, consistent with the Gulkanda mint style. The mint name and regnal year appear in the lower portion of the field. The irregular flan edge and raised relief lettering are characteristic of hammered Mughal rupees struck at the Golconda mint during AH 1037–1068.
