| Obverse description | Central field bears the Kalima (Islamic declaration of faith) in bold Naskh script: 'La ilaha illallah Muhammad rasul Allah', arranged across the central band. Above the Kalima, the names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali) are inscribed in the upper register. A lower register contains additional Persian legends. The inscriptions are deeply struck within a plain circular border, characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage. |
