| Obverse description | The central field bears the Kalima Shahada (Islamic declaration of faith) inscribed in bold Naskh Arabic script within a quartered rectangular cartouche, dividing the field into four panels. The names of the four Rightly Guided Caliphs (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali) are distributed in the surrounding marginal legend. The Hijri regnal year AH 1063 appears within the border inscription. The hammered flan displays characteristic irregular edges and a slightly granular surface texture typical of Mughal silver coinage of this period. |
