Reverse description Reverse bearing a two-line Persian legend in Nasta'liq script denoting the mint name and regnal year, reading 'Zarb Dar al-Khilafa Shahjahanabad' in the central field with the formula 'Sana 15 Julus Maimant Manus' below, indicating the fifteenth year of the auspicious accession. The numeral '15' is clearly visible in Eastern Arabic numerals within the lower legend band. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan shape, slightly uneven strike, and granular surface texture typical of hammered Mughal rupees. The calligraphic execution is fluid and consistent with the late Mughal workshop style of the Shahjahanabad mint.
