| Reverse description | The reverse displays a multi-line Persian inscription in Nastaliq script, reading the auspicious formula 'Manus maimanat' (the symbol of good fortune) alongside the regnal year (sanah julus) and the mint name Devgarh. The text is arranged in horizontal registers within a plain linear frame, consistent with Mughal provincial hammered rupee conventions. Pellet ornaments and floral devices are scattered in the field. The mint name Devgarh appears in the lower register, identifying the issuing authority under the Pratabgarh princely state. |
