| Obverse description | Central field bearing the Persian-script inscription of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II arranged in two horizontal registers separated by a ruled line, with the AH regnal date inscribed in the upper portion of the field. The calligraphy is executed in the bold Naskh style typical of late Mughal coinage, with additional decorative dots flanking the central legend. The coin edge is plain and the flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck production. |
