Obverse description Struck in the Mughal tradition, the obverse bears a two-line Persian legend in Naskh script divided by a horizontal line across the field, presenting the imperial titles and name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The bold, raised calligraphic characters fill the flan in characteristic late Mughal style, with floral or pellet ornaments visible in the margins. The overall arrangement follows the standard Mughal rupee format as adopted by the Kishangarh mint.
