| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse field is dominated by two lines of bold Arabic-script legend enclosed within a rectangular cartouche with a horizontal dividing line, following the classic Mughal rupee format. The upper register within the cartouche reads the royal epithet invoking Shah Alam Bahadur, while the lower register carries the continuation of the regal title. Ornamental pellets are disposed in the field above and around the cartouche, a distinctive feature of the Kishangarh Mughal-style coinage. The broad flan is irregularly shaped, characteristic of hammered production, with the cartouche border showing the slightly uneven impression typical of hand-struck dies. The overall style closely imitates Mughal imperial coinage struck in the name of Shah Alam II. |
