| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing bold Nasta'liq Arabic script arranged in three registers across the field. The central legend reads 'Shah Alam' with the Hijri regnal year inscribed above, identifying the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II as the nominal sovereign. The inscriptions are characteristic of late Mughal coinage conventions, with the calligraphy occupying nearly the full coin surface within a plain circular border. |
