Reverse description Reverse of this hammered rupee displays two registers of Arabic Nasta'liq legend divided by a horizontal line, containing the mint name Burhanpur (دار الأمن برهانپور) and additional regnal information. A small floral sprig ornament is visible in the lower register field, a typical feature of Burhanpur mint issues. The legends are boldly struck with characteristic provincial Mughal calligraphic style, consistent with Gwalior-supervised issues of the late eighteenth century.
