| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing bold Persian calligraphic legend in the central field, arranged in multiple registers and reading the royal titles and name of Shah Alam II. The inscription is executed in characteristic Mughal nasta'liq script with ornamental dot clusters interspersed among the letterforms. A plain raised line frames the central legend above and below, forming a cartouche-like border. The flan shows typical irregular edges and surface texture consistent with hand-struck Mughal coinage of the late eighteenth century. |
