| Reverse description | Hammered silver flan bearing a multi-line Arabic mint and accession legend arranged in two registers divided by a horizontal line. The legend records the auspicious accession and the mint name Ja'farabad, commonly known as Chandor, in bold Nasta'liq script. Pellet ornaments and decorative stops appear in the field, consistent with Maratha-issued rupees struck in the name of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The flan is slightly irregular and shows characteristic die-shift, as is common for hand-hammered issues of this series. |
