| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse displays three lines of bold Nasta'liq Arabic script arranged within a rectangular cartouche, framed above and below by decorative linear borders that curve to follow the coin's circular flan. The central field bears the imperial legend reading 'Sikka Mubarak / Badshah Ghazi / Shah Alam Bahadur', proclaiming the auspicious coinage of the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. The script is deeply struck in the characteristic hammered style, with the letters showing vigorous, slightly irregular relief typical of late Mughal provincial coinage. A dotted or pellet ornamental border surrounds the inscription area, and the fields display the characteristic texture and flow lines of a hand-struck silver flan. |
