Obverse description Central field bearing the royal Persian-script inscription of Shah Alam II arranged in two horizontal bands, rendered in bold calligraphic Naskh style. The legend reads the emperor's name and titles within a plain linear border. Decorative dot clusters appear in the field between inscription lines, characteristic of Mughal hammered coinage. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck production at the Azimabad mint.
Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering شاه عالم بادشاه غازی
