Obverse description Hammered silver flan bearing multi-line Arabic/Nastaliq calligraphic legend in the field, naming the Mughal emperor Shah Alam II and the Akbarabad (Agra) mint, designated Mustaqir-ul-khilafat. The regnal year 1198 AH appears prominently in the upper portion of the field. The inscription is executed in bold relief characteristic of late Mughal hammered coinage, with the text arranged in horizontal registers across the coin's surface.
