Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse presents a fully epigraphic design in the Mughal tradition, with the field dominated by bold Nasta'liq Persian calligraphy arranged in horizontal registers separated by raised linear borders. The central band carries the imperial legend invoking the title and name of the emperor, reading 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Shah Alam.' A secondary inscription occupies the upper register, partially visible due to the irregular flan characteristic of hammered coinage. The coin exhibits the darkened silver patina and slightly uneven strike typical of late Mughal provincial issues produced under Maratha suzerainty at Ahmadabad.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse is wholly epigraphic, displaying bold Nasta'liq Persian calligraphy arranged in horizontal registers divided by raised linear borders, following the standard Mughal rupee format. The central field bears the mint and regnal year formula, with the mint name Ahmadabad (احمدآباد) prominently struck, accompanied by the Hijri date and the regnal year (jalus) of Shah Alam II. A marginal legend runs partially along the upper rim, though portions are lost to the irregular flan edge. The overall execution reflects the characteristic style of hammered silver rupees struck at the Ahmadabad mint during Maratha control in the latter eighteenth century.
