| 背面描述 | The reverse displays a multi-line Persian legend in Nastaliq script arranged within a rectangular cartouche divided by a horizontal line, reading 'Zarb Surat Sanat 46 Julus Maimanat Manus' (Struck at Surat in the 46th year of his tranquil prosperous reign), along with the Gregorian year 1825 in the lower segment. As is typical of these Presidency rupees struck on small flans, much of the peripheral legend falls off the coin's edge. Pellet or floral privy marks are present within the cartouche divisions, distinguishing the various die varieties (KM#218.1, 218.2, 218.3). The overall style is characteristic of late Mughal-derived coinage as produced under the Bombay Presidency at the Surat mint. |
