正面描述 The obverse bears a multi-line Persian legend arranged within a divided rectangular cartouche occupying most of the flan, reading 'Sikka Mubarak Badshah Ghazi Shah Alam' (The auspicious coin of the victorious Emperor Shah Alam), in the Nastaliq script. The legend is largely clipped by the coin's small flan relative to the die, a characteristic feature of this Surat Presidency issue. Floral or pellet ornaments are visible at the upper field, serving as decorative dividers within the cartouche. The field surrounding the cartouche is plain and slightly granular in texture.

背面描述 The reverse displays a multi-line Persian legend in Nastaliq script arranged within a rectangular cartouche divided by a horizontal line, reading 'Zarb Surat Sanat 46 Julus Maimanat Manus' (Struck at Surat in the 46th year of his tranquil prosperous reign), along with the Gregorian year 1825 in the lower segment. As is typical of these Presidency rupees struck on small flans, much of the peripheral legend falls off the coin's edge. Pellet or floral privy marks are present within the cartouche divisions, distinguishing the various die varieties (KM#218.1, 218.2, 218.3). The overall style is characteristic of late Mughal-derived coinage as produced under the Bombay Presidency at the Surat mint.
