Obverse description Central Arabic legend in two registers separated by a horizontal line, bearing the name and titles of Mughal emperor Shah Alam II. A six-pointed star device appears prominently above the upper register. The AH regnal year and mint date are inscribed in the lower register in Arabic numerals. The design is executed in the typical Mughal hammered style with bold, flowing script filling the flan.
